2025 was a milestone year for the museum. Thanks to the Just Transition Operational Program, we were able to purchase the blast furnace complex, sign a contract with the project documentation contractor, and begin preparations for further exploratory and future construction work.
In June 2025, after years of preparation, the blast furnaces were purchased and a contract was signed with the contractor for the project documentation. The Ostrava-based company Chválek Ateliér, s.r.o. is now working intensively and drawing up every detail of the future museum.

In the fall, the blast furnace area was being prepared for surveying and future construction work. We cleared the area under the furnaces of objects and overgrown vegetation. We also said goodbye to the popular tram, which would have been in the way of the work and construction. Archaeological research began under the blast furnaces and will continue this year. Geological research and research into steel and concrete structures were also carried out.

At the same time, we welcomed new colleagues who are directly involved in the project and its smooth running.
