MUSEum+, Industrial Museum in Ostrava, has completed a tender for the design documentation for the construction of its seat in blast furnaces 4 and 6 in the Lower Vítkovice area. The winner of the public tender is the "Association for MUSEum+," which consists of the Ostrava-based company Chválek Ateliér, s.r.o. as the lead partner and the Prague-based Energy Benefit Centre a.s.
Blast furnaces 4 and 6 in the Lower Vítkovice area are being transferred to new owners. They will be managed by MUSEum+.
Blast furnaces 4 and 6 of the former Vítkovice Ironworks are being transferred to new owners. The national cultural monument will now be managed by MUSEum+, the Industrial Museum in Ostrava, which is established by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. In the coming years, the blast furnaces will be transformed into a museum according to a design by architect Josef Pleskot.
