Blast furnaces 4 and 6 of the former Vítkovice Ironworks are being transferred to new owners. The national cultural monument will now be managed by MUSEum+, the Industrial Museum in Ostrava, which is established by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. In the coming years, the blast furnaces will be transformed into a museum according to a design by architect Josef Pleskot.
At the beginning of the new year, Pavel Lazar joined MUSEum+ as its new director. He replaces Naděžda Goryczková, who had been leading the museum since May 2023. The main task facing the MUSEum+ team remain unchanged: the transformation of blast furnaces into its building.
Pavel Lazar has held senior management and executive positions, including CEO of BONATRANS GROUP, Tawesco and TATRA TRUCKS. He played a significant role in the construction of the Tatra Museum in Kopřivnice and the restoration of the Slovenská strela national cultural monument and its exhibition pavilion.
Our team has also been strengthened by Roman Páša, who is responsible for investments. The attached photo shows the entire team of MUSEum+.
